Payson Lakes

Summer has been so full of fun I haven't even had time to blog. We also got a new computer and a new camera so I am trying to figure out all this new technology so I can post some things. Here are a few pictures from our trip to Payson Lakes. I loved the one of Lexie doing her Cheesy smile for the camera.

Remodeling

We have been having a lot of fun doing some remodeling both inside our home and out. The scary thing is that once we got started it has been a little hard to stop. Some of our projects have been -- replacing the countertops in the kitchen with Corian, replacing the flooring, counters and toilets in all the bathrooms, painting, and removing a few trees in the yard. It has been fun to enjoy the changes. We were especially grateful for my parents letting us stay at their home during some of the biggest jobs. It wouldn't have been very fun without that option.

Lexie is almost 2 and acting like it!

Lexie is talking more and more everyday and with that her personality is starting to really show through. It is good that she is cute because I think I forgot how hard this stage can be sometimes. Here she is demonstrating her mastery of the word "no!"

Zachary the Soccer Nut

Zach LOVES soccer. All day long he kicks a ball. This week he went to Soccer Camp at BYU and he really seemed to enjoy it. If we can brag for a moment -- he is getting really good. Here he is juggling. I am afraid he at age seven is a better juggler than I am.

Michaela's teeth are falling OUT!!

After hanging in her mouth for over a week Michaela finally lost her first tooth on Friday. She was soooo excited. Yet when it came time to put it under her pillow she started to cry because she thought she would miss it too much. So now I have a little tooth safe in my jewelry drawer. She actually just lost another on this morning. My little girl is growing up!

Patriotic Program

Here are some pictures of Zachary in the last performance of the school year. He memorized some lines from Patrick Henry and did a nice dramatic performance. He also loves to sing and really helped carry the program.

Zach the Jester

For school, Zach was able to participate in a Shakespearean festival. They did a lot of neat hands on learning activities. They learned to sword fight, write in Calligraphy, learned about Elizabethan music from a Bard, do a reader's theater of Twelfth Night, etc. They each picked a character to be for the week and Zach was the court jester. This is a picture of him being introduced to the Queen of England at a luncheon. It was a fun program. I am also going to try to download a video of Zach singing an impromptu solo at the end of the play. Even though he claimed to have stage fright he did a great job.
