My long lost photos of Lexie's Birthday!!

Okay, okay . . . I know it is December and her birthday was in July . . . but I really wanted to blog these pictures from her birthday and I could not find them!!! Come to find out I saved them in some obscure file that I just found tonight while I was uploading some other pictures. Since I am hopelessly behind on my scrapbooking (Read: Lexie doesn't even have a scrapbook yet!) I felt I better post these pictures so that when she is 13 she won't be able to say that I never took any photos of her because she was my last. Enjoy Lexie!
These pictures are from date she went on with my parents to lunch and then to Build-a-Bear. She loved it!

Lexie is "Sweet and Sour"

Lexie's personality continues to blossom. She will be three in July and sometimes reminds us about the joys of parenting someone who is "two old". She can be sooo cute and then so naughty in a matter of minutes. My favorite thing about her is the spontaneous songs that she sings all day. It is kind of like living in an opera. She also has a pretend friend "Lemon" that is blamed for her misdeeds - kinda like her alter ego! I also need to photocopy some of her drawings and writings. She still loves to "DWAW" all day and on everything. The other day I heard her singing in her room, "We don't draw on our bodies, . . . just on paper . . .or Mom will get REALLY mad!" (Sorry the sound isn't great in this video as the kids are playing Wii in the background.)

We love our new bunk bed!

With Lexie finally old enough to climb out of her crib, we decided to buy the girls a new bunkbed for their room from IKEA. It was quite the family job to put it together and we didn't even finish until about 9:30 that night. The girls were really excited and Lexie said, "Oh it's soooo cute!" She is such a girl. I worried she'd stop taking naps, but she really likes sleeping in her new big girl bed. Anything has to be better than the Pack and Play I left her in for years.

Our little Lexie

Lexie is becoming quite the charmer. She has also confirmed my suspicion that with increased cuteness comes increased naughtiness. I can tell her childhood is going to be impacted a lot by the fact that I am homeschooling JT. She tells me things like, "No more Maff!" (Math) and "there's nothing to do." in the mornings. She spends a good bit of the day everyday practicing writing her "letters" these little tiny scribbles all over paper. I think she will either grow up writing novels or being an artist of some sort due to her love of "dwawing".

We can't get enough of her laugh right now. I really must capture some on video because it is really funny. It is deep and somewhat "evil". On Sunday, she actually said to me with a wicked little smile, "I hate you, just a little bit" holding her little fingers up to show me how much. She is obsessed with "playing" with Grandma Gardner and prefers Grandma to anyone.

Lexie is almost 2 and acting like it!

Lexie is talking more and more everyday and with that her personality is starting to really show through. It is good that she is cute because I think I forgot how hard this stage can be sometimes. Here she is demonstrating her mastery of the word "no!"
